In August 2008, CMF completed construction of its first production facility located at Pontypool, South Wales.
The facilities manufacturing floor area of 30,000 square feet, provides ample space for its manufacturing operations. In addition, the coil stocking bay has the capacity to store 2000 tonnes of unprocessed raw material. Distribution throughout the facility is by four 10-tonne capacity overhead cranes, which are used for various lifting operations within the facility.
In January 2023, CMF further expanded its manufacturing capacity with the completion of its new production facility at Magor, South Wales. This facility provides an additional extensive manufacturing floor area of 80,000 square feet. The manufacturing area and large 2000 tonne coil stocking bay are serviced by six Pelloby 10 tonne capacity overhead cranes.
Each facility has external stockyards located on three sides of the building, providing storage for raw materials, and finished products.
To manufacture Purlin and Siderail products, the facilities are equipped with three independent profiling machines that offer maximum flexibility. Each machine is capable of producing up to 22 tonnes per eight-hour working shift.
The production unit has a high production capacity, as it is capable of producing more than 20,000 tonnes per annum of Purlins and Siderails.
